Why is my BackWPup Pro generating the following warning in my WordPress debug log?

PHP Warning: array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, boolean given in /home/lady5705/thecanadiancoach.ca/wp-content/plugins/backwpup-pro/vendor/inpsyde/backwpup-restore-shared/src/Api/Module/Registry.php on line 145

FTP Passwords lost after system update

Hello!

Thanks for your great plugin, but unfortunately currently it had run into problems.
Yesterday I updated the complete LAMP stack to the new Nginx and PHP-FPM version coming with Ubuntu 19.04 on two different systems. WordPress itself seemed ok, my sites were working.
But tonight I received error mails from the BackWPup plugin from all updated WordPress instances:
FEHLER: Antwort des FTP-Servers: 530 Login incorrect

This was reproducable, I started the backup job manually, but with the same problem. On one system the backup is stored to two different targets, both of them didn’t work.

I checked the connection with WinSCP (FTP, Port 21, explicit SSL-FTP), but this worked as expected.

So I entered the password again in the BackWPup job target tab and started the job. This was successful, so the main problem was solved. But I would like to understand the reason. Are passwords stored according to a kind of ID, which is dependent on the PHP version? Is this a feature?

Thanks in advance &
Kind regards,
Ralf

Exclude Files doesn’t work

Hi,

When I run a simple BackWPUp task, everything works fine except: although I tick a particular folder not to be backed up, it is backed up.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this please ?

Thank you !

IMPORTANT!!! – UPDATE your Dropbox Authentification after Release 3.6.9

Dear BackWPup user,

please give us your attention for this important announcement!
On May 7th, we released an update for BackWPup (3.6.9) as part of a security precaution of Dropbox. Please update the plugin and authenticate your Dropbox account again in the BackWPup settings. Otherwise, the connection of BackWPup to your Dropbox won’t work anymore.

We are really sorry, that this is on a such short notice, but Dropbox wanted to disable the current API as soon as possible and didn’t want to wait until most users switched to the new authentication. Our hands are tied in this case and we had to act as soon as possible.

Under the following link you will find a guide with all important steps to update your plugin: https://backwpup.com/docs/restore-dropbox-connection-backwpup-3-6-9-later/.

Note: The Dropbox backup folder changed from BackWPup to InpsydeBackWPup. This was also a required measurement by Dropbox, we couldn’t avoid.

installation updraftplus

My blog needs to be fixed. it’s working overall however after a sudden move to another host done by someone who did not program my blog resulted in a few issues that I am now finally trying to tackle.

Number one is my backups. I have backwpup installed and it was backing up on my dropbox but after working for 4 months the automated backup started to return to me with email logs with error messages.

So now I am trying to fix that I received the advice from someone to install updraft plus.
I want to give that a try but since I have little knowledge anymore about wp or webpages anymore since I been out of it for over 12 years I looked up this tutorial and figured ill use that.

I was told I do not have to uninstall backwpup before installing updraft plus.

I downloaded manually one last database backup (a my sql file?) to my laptop I assume I am safe with that?

Before I do anything I would like to know if just installing the plugin can cause my blog and site pages to disfunction?

Last but not least I wanted to use this tutorial when installing updraft plus: https://themeisle.com/blog/backup-a-wordpress-site-for-free/
Please let me know if that’s a good tutorial to follow for me.

The last thing I can use right now is my blog to stop functioning as I am not able to fix it right now and it is my outlet and diary on my healing journey so it is important to me. Thnx in advance for the help.

Отличный плагин. Много гибких настроек:
– Позволяет создать несколько разных сценариев бэкапа;
– Настроить автоматическое бэкапирование в любое время;
– Настроить выгрузку бэкапов в дропбокс, либо на почту, лиюо в некоторые облачные сервисы, либо в папку на хостинге;
Отличная производительностьб – работает без “тупнячков”. Рекоммендую!

Backup never gets past “Compressing files as ZipArchive”

I have tried to create a backup multiple times for my website, but it always gets stuck at Compressing files as ZipArchive.

It works just fine for my other website with the same theme and plugins installed, but this website has a lot more content than the other one that works. I’ve tried excluding most plugins, all my staging sites, but it still won’t complete.

Help!

I have google the error and found aq suggestion to add the follwoing stmt to wp-config.php:

However if I do so I get another error message

“The site is experiencing technical difficulties.”

Please advise. THanks

Hi, I wonder if you can help me – I just updated my BackWPup to 3.6.10 and my WP is up to date 4.6.1. My problem is that I now get the following fatal error and the BackWPup dashboard does not load: Fatal error: Call to undefined function Inpsyde\BackWPup\Notice\get_user_locale() in /home/africaim/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/inc/Notice/Promoter.php on line 109 .

I have deleted BackWPup from within WP and reinstalled with the same result.

Any suggestions?

After update (BackWPup plugin and WordPress) WordPress cron do not start at specified time. I try to change authentication method at Settings/Network but this not help. I don’t want to use other crone to start job, but only WordPress Crone, which is good for any other plugins and I use it for BackWPup so far.

Please help me what I can do to use your good plugin with WordPress crone.

Custom S3 doesn’t work and hasn’t worked since July 2019

Hi

We upload backups to Wasabi using custom s3 link, but I have just checked and the last successful backup took place on 11 July 2019.

The system can list all the buckets when I add the Wasabi url in job settings, but when I run the job, at the end it fails with the following message:
ERROR: S3 Bucket “big” does not exist!
100%
Job completed

100%
ERROR: Job has ended with errors in 6 seconds. You must resolve the errors for correct execution.

I looked at the Wasabi buckets and the last upload was on 11 July 2019, I am not sure if there were any changes made to the software at that time?

Currently have everything latest installed, here are the details.

WordPress version 5.3.2

Can’t send mails with BackWPup anymore

BackWPup sends me a database backup via mail, every evening. Since Wednesday, I only get this error message instead:

ERROR: Cannot declare class MailPoetVendor\Swift_DependencyContainer, because the name is already in use

I have no idea what that means, but the error seems to be related to the MailPoet update on February, 4th. All my other WordPress websites (without MailPoet) run BackWPup perfectly.

Hello Christina,

i tried to update my dropbox authentification, but it doesn’t work. Maybe its because i don’t use the premium version of backWPup?
In my version is no possibility to update authentication as shown. There is an authentication with url an wp-cron. Do i have to change the authentication to url parameter?

Any way to get any more meaningful output before logging an unsuccessful job?

About BackWPup plugin

The manual backup was successful, but the next execution date will be “January 1, 1970” when setting with an automatic job.
I found that the Plugin Load Filter interferes, but I haven’t introduced the plugin itself.
After stopping all the plug-ins, I tried to set them again, but the status did not change.
I also contacted the theme forum, but it seems I don’t understand

Manual confirmed

BackWPup Error: Not expected HTTP response:Status-Code: 429

I am trying to run a back up on a site, but cannot get the BackWPup plugin to start. I followed the instructions to set up a new job and whenever I try to manually run it gives me the error message stating it didn’t respond for 10 seconds. Once I get more info, it says Not expected HTTP response:Status-Code: 429.

I found this solution:
modify wp-config.php (you can find this file in your root directory ), and before the line:
/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
add this line:
define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’ , true );

Followed those steps and it still won’t run. I tried clearing my cache, logging out and back in, using a new browsers, waiting a couple of hours for fun, and nothing has worked. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?
